A few questions about your Erasmus experience:

Dear student,

at the end of your Erasmus experience at the Department of Education of the University of Bologna we would like to ask you a few questions about your experience:

I was studying Science motorie, at the faculty of sport sciences. Nobody was able to explain why I was connected to the offices of the Department of Education.

But I’ll happily fill in your questionnaire.

1) Did you get support from the teachers and the offices?
Yes, I was in a correspondence with a proff. Morena Cuconato. She was very helpful, answered all my questions before my mobility. I was not in contact with her during because it seemed like she wouldn’t be able to help with my
current problems cause she’s not from my faculty.

2) Did you have difficulties following the lessons?
Yes, but that is understandable considering my lack of knowledge of Italian language when all of my lessons had been taught in Italian.
It was my decision to go through with that. Considering the knowledge taught, it was quite easy for me to follow.

3) Did you also do an internship?
No.

4) If you did an internship, was it a positive experience?
-

5) Did you also attend courses from other Departments?
Yes, I had courses from my faculty of sports, and also from dept. of biology and sociology.

6) Was your knowledge of the Italian language sufficient for following the lessons? It has improved during this exchange period?
It was not at the beginning. In the first months I was studying the language every day to improve and by the end of my mobility I had oral exams in Italian. So, I dare to say I improved a lot.

6) Did you make friends with the Italian students and with other Erasmus students?
Some but not through the university I made friends based on my hobbies and free time activities.

7) Did you have difficulties finding accommodation?
A bit because I had a tight budget. It took me 3 months. But it would’ve been much faster if I’d not had the money restriction. Also, as a woman, it was easier to get an accommodation.

8) How did you feel here in Bologna? You felt welcome?
I felt quite alone, but I followed different types of lectures with different group of students, so I didn’t have any permanent classmates.
Bologna in general is very nice city with lots of activities to join.

10) Would you recommend this experience to other students?
Yes, I would. But at the same time, I’d remind them it doesn’t need to be all sunshine as other post Erasmus students make it sound like. As an experience it doesn’t need to be always positive but it’s definitely one of the strongest.

THANK YOU!
