A few questions about your Erasmus experience:

Dear student,
at the end of your Erasmus experience at the Department of Education of the University of Bologna we would like to ask you a few questions about your experience:

1) Did you get support from the teachers and the offices?
Yes, all my questions and doubts were answered when I asked. I was also impressed by the fact that I got my answers quickly.

2) Did you have difficulties following the lessons?
I didn’t have any problems and if I had questions professors always were open and encouraging students to ask which was amazing!

3) Did you also do an internship?
No

4) If you did an internship, was it a positive experience?
-

5) Did you also attend courses from other Departments?
Yes, it was quite unfortunate, because I was told that I had to take at least 2 courses from education department, which didn’t offer any courses in English.
At the end I took 2 courses in Italian which had special programme for Erasmus students and 2 courses in English from other departments. It was complicated because I had to change almost my whole LA.

6) Was your knowledge of the Italian language sufficient for following the lessons? It has improved during this exchange period?
No, fortunately I didn’t have classes in Italian, because I don’t speak it. I find it very unfortunate that the university doesn’t offer Italian course for beginners (A1).

7) Did you make friends with the Italian students and with other Erasmus students?
I didn’t become friends with anyone local, my friends were mainly my nationality and one from abroad, I was hoping for more international community.

8) Did you have difficulties finding accommodation?
Yes, It was a huge struggle, I lived in 4 places, 3 of them were airbnbs.

9) How did you feel here in Bologna? You felt welcome?
I felt welcome at university by the workers, but in the city itself maybe not much, but I didn’t try to blend in much myself, I tried to learn more about the culture.

10) Would you recommend this experience to other students?
When it comes to university, yes, but I would warn them that not all departments have courses in English.

THANK YOU!
