LOUISE

A few questions about your Erasmus experience:

Dear student,
at the end of your Erasmus experience at the Department of Education of the University of Bologna we would like to ask you a few questions about your experience:

1) Did you get support from the teachers and the offices?
Yes I had answers for every questions or issues I faced during my mobility.

2) Did you have difficulties following the lessons?
No, and when I was lost the teachers where always there to explain/help me.

3) Did you also do an internship?
No.

4) If you did an internship, was it a positive experience?
/

5) Did you also attend courses from other Departments?
Yes, I am in the education department and I attended one class in the Humanity department (Italian culture).

6) Was your knowledge of the Italian language sufficient for following the lessons? It has improved during this exchange period?
Yes I have B2 level so I understood most of the classes, but I think that I gain more vocabulary through my lessons in specific areas (psychology and history).

7) Did you make friends with the Italian students and with other Erasmus students?
Mostly Erasmus student, but thanks to the “Buddy program” I have also met a very nice Italian girl.

8) Did you have difficulties finding accommodation?
Yes, especially because of the high rent prices and the high risk of scams in Bologna.

9) How did you feel here in Bologna? You felt welcome?
I felt really great in Bologna, I really liked the dynamism of the city and all of the student events that were proposed every night. The Italian people are very welcoming, and the student spirit help to feel easily welcome there.

10) Would you recommend this experience to other students?
I would definitely recommend this experience to other students. However, I think that this city might welcome to many international students so it can easily make you feel lost, and a lot of people stay in there “comfort zone” by
hanging out with people of their nationality. But otherwise, it was a really great experience, especially for the travel opportunities since Bologna have a main train station that makes it easier to travel in the whole north of Italy which Iused a lot!
And also, a lot of cheap bar and restaurant are in the city which help to go out even when we don’t have a big budget.
For the cultural part, most of the museums are free in general for students which is great to discover the Italian culture and the culture of Bologna.

THANK YOU!
