Support for research projects and competitive financing

Mission

To support the department’s scientific community in accessing funding for research, education and training, and to ensure the correct and effective management of competitive projects by providing technical advice.

Main Activities

- To contribute to the promotion and dissemination of information on the opportunities for accessing funding programs at a regional, national, European and international level in partnership with the Research Management Office (ARIC) and the International Relations Division of the University.

- To support lecturers and researchers in designing proposals and presenting applications for funding programmes such as: PRIN, FISR, Horizon2020, Horizon Europe, Rights, Equality and Citizenship Program, Erasmus +, International development cooperation programs etc.

- To monitor the implementation of projects, management of administrative and financial reporting, right through to any audits by the funding bodies.

- To liaise with different university offices for the management of cross-cutting issues (such as contractual aspects, open access, privacy, code of ethics, DMP, intellectual property).

- To support the PSSD through mapping and processing of data which flows into the SUA-RD.

- To manage communications for funded projects through the Department's website.
