The Administration deals with all administrative/accounting activities related to the Department’s research and teaching activities.

Research grants 
The research grants are awarded to young students to carry out a research program or single phase of one, in order to encourage the training and development of professional skills. 

Scholarships 
The Department Board is in charge of establishing scholarships following a proposal by the manager of research project from which the financial resources will be drawn. 

Marco Polo Scholarships 
The Marco Polo Program aims to promote the scientific training abroad of young researchers from the University of Bologna, offering the opportunity to conduct research in international situations. 

Partnership assignments 
The assignments and self-employment contracts are recruitment tools used in the event that Department human resources are not available, and these tools aim to select experts in possession of specific and proven university specialisations.  

Communication and web 
Promotion, exploitation and communication of the Department’s results in the context of Third Mission research projects. Publication of events of particular relevance. 

Conferences and seminars 
Conferences and seminars focused on teaching and research 

Inventory 
Administrative procedures related to the property owned by the Department 

Missions, exchanges and intra-university mobility 
Instructions and forms for the request of mission authorisation, exchanges and intra-university mobility, and reimbursement requests. 

Free scientific Patronage of the Department 
Patronage is the official recognition of the Department through which it expresses appreciation and adherence to initiatives promoted by external parties which are considered worthy due to their cultural, scientific and social promotion purposes and of particular interest for the University itself. 

Membership fees 
Reimbursement of annual membership fees for scientific associations paid by teaching staff and researchers. 

Support for research projects and competitive financing 
The Department supports the scientific community in accessing research and training funding programs and in managing funded projects.
