Description (300 words max.):

"Space of opportunity" is a new educational and training centre, managed by the Consorzio Scu.Ter, in coordination with the Municipality, to strengthen skills and motivation to study, with a focus on science and technology with artistic, sports, scientific and technological laboratories to offer new opportunities for social and cultural growth to young people from 11 to 17 years old.

The project, which lasts four years, is co-financed by the Golinelli Foundation and the social enterprise Con i bambini.

The project plans the carrying out of workshops, training meetings, peer education and school strengthening activities, aimed at promoting the cultural, social and relational growth of pre-adolescents and adolescents, according to a multidisciplinary approach. In connection with the Municipality, District and schools, the centre represents an educational facility available to children, families and teachers, with activities to contrast early school leaving and school dropout, training, professional orientation and support to parenting. The space wants to be a reference point for the educational community of Bologna and an open place for the implementation of further projects against youth distress: the aim is to create synergies between educational institutions and private social. The Consorzio Scu.Ter, manager of the Space, was born from 11 social enterprises that deal with school and extra-school services to improve the quality and innovate by thinking and planning together.
