Description

The AMIF project "INTEgreat, Stakeholder Partnership for Migrant Integration" aims to implement an effective and sustainable urban-level integration strategy and system for migrants arrived in the participating countries from 2015 onwards, including asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants with subsidiary protection (women, men, families, and LGBTQIA+). Involving partners from Italy, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, and Ireland, the project developed and tested an innovative Integration Strategy Framework (ISF), with practical Guidelines designed for stakeholders and social workers, useful in integration’s projects, services, and spot actions.

The ISF and Guidelines have been tested and experimented through five pilot initiatives in Varese (Italy), Barcelona (Spain), Athens (Greece), Nicosia (Cyprus), and Limerick (Ireland), involving nonprofit organizations, civil society, and migrants. In line with the project's goals and principles, these initiatives were essential in strengthening mutual trust, interdependence, and a sense of belonging, ensuring long-term stakeholder involvement and an enduring commitment between migrants and local communities, even after the project's conclusion.
